So I just recently ended my seasonal job at Victoria Secrets and during my 4 month period of being there, I learned a lot, not about the company(well technically yes, but that’s not my focus) but about women’s apparel, and by apparel i mean bras, panties, and lingerie.
The knowledge i now possess on those is probably much more than any man who doesn’t cross dress should ever know, but what can I do? I want to focus on bras because 1) I’m definitely a man that can appreciate a nice chest and 2) therefore bras are the biggest insult to me personally.
Now as a man there is only so much we can lie about as it pertains to ourselves. We can lie about our jobs to an extent, we can lie about not having a unibrow, bald spots, or whatever less than pleasing aesthetic that’s part of our body’s natural makeup, and even then a lot of men don’t even bother with that.
But ladies? your whole outward appearance can be based on a lie. Fake hair, Fake eyelashes, color contacts, makeup(yes it counts) lip gloss that makes your lips look bigger, bras that add cup size, jeans that come with butt pads, etc etc etc. your clothes could come off and there’s an entirely different person underneath it all. And I’m not saying it’s necessarily wrong but you got to realize that your insecurities are helping you lie to the same people you’re trying to attract, at least from an aesthetic perspective, and that just irks me.
the Bra that got me the most while i was working there was the miraculous push up bra, as seen in action here
which adds up to two cup sizes AND improves the look of your cleavage. Can you imagine how disappointing that would be to watch a girl’s cup size to go from ‘probably a solid C’ to ‘I’m hoping for a B’ ? … I haven’t experienced that but I’d imagine it’s pretty bad.
I think the point I’d like to make with this post is that I’d like to see more women to push to keep their look as close to natural as possible. And i don’t mean take it to the extreme, like not shaving your legs, underarms and all that jazz but just keep it relative. You don’t need a bra that adds to your cup sizes or butt pads to make up for your lack of one, just play to your strengths, For God’s Sake, VS makes Biofit lol.
I’ll let you all in on a little secret about men. we LIKE women that play to their strengths, not try and cover their weaknesses. Trust me, we see the same flat booty that you do, and if our mind’s right, we say nothing, why? because we appreciate the rest of you so much more and nobody’s flawless. The most attractive thing about a person is and will always be self confidence.
