So for all my faithful readers who don’t know what I do, or plan to do for a career, I’m wholeheartedly pursuing acting and one of the most challenging things about the profession is maintaining self belief and confidence in oneself because honestly there’s a thousand people trying to do the same thing and you don’t always have the support team you’d like behind you…Not saying I don’t have support behind me but you know.
Now I have a fair amount of self confidence but confidence is something that rarely comes naturally, you have to constantly remind yourself on a daily basis that you are who say you are, and even with that your confidence can sometimes falter, even when there isn’t a particular reason or circumstance that causes that to happen.
Well that happened to me yesterday. I just wasn’t feeling sure of myself in all aspects of my talent. I know I have a long way to go to reach the goals I want to reach and I just questioned if I really had what it takes to make it there.
This afternoon I went to church and the guest speaker spoke about the power of words and the effect it can have on ourselves and others. She then went on to say the following:
The more you say something the more you will believe it. The more you believe it the more you will see it. And then one day… you will live it!
Wow talk about a coincidence. I know there’s a number of people who don’t believe in God but I do and I definitely felt that He put it upon my heart to make it to that service for that subliminal encouragement.
