Kim K’s Wedding: Hope for the Heaux?

Before I get further into this post I think it’s best I describe to my readers what a ‘Heaux’ is for those who aren’t in the know.

According to Urban Dictionary, Heaux is pronounced “Ho” and is another way of calling a hoe a hoe.

Now I found out about this word and it’s meaning late last week and although I still haven’t figured out why you wouldn’t just write “hoe” or “ho” but I blame myself for being an old man at heart and not keeping up with the generation that I’m supposedly ‘a part of.’ But I digress.

Kim Kardashian is now married and as usual nobody really cares if she’ll actually stay that way.( I don’t) The big thing right now, at least according to Twitter, is that she actually found someone willing to put a ring on it. And I quote from one tweet, “If Kim can get married then there’s hope for you hoes yet.”

My question though is this. Is Kim Kardashian a hoe? And even if she is or is not is there really hope for all you hoes(males included) out there?? Let’s review the facts.

Kim Kardashian is famous for one unforgettable if not boring/slightly traumatizing reason: Her Sextape with Ray J(he provides the trauma)

This fact is indisputable. Hardcore Kim K fans will argue this fact and say “No look at all the things she has going on for her.” To that I say, “Look at all the things she had going on her before and after the sex tape; her Wikipedia article about her life prior to the sex tape is roughly a paragraph long. Exactly. Her entire family’s success as celebrities and success in general have stemmed from her sex tape.

then you know that I’m very skeptical about the whole exchange naked pictures and/or film home videos business. I can’t recall if I’ve ever addressed the topic more harshly in a previous post but I’ll do so now.

Depending on the nature of the pictures/tape(s) they will highly diminish your marriage eligibility.

This especially applies to women. Nothing says “Just Keep it Moving” to a man if he can Google you and find pictures of you with another man’s penis in your mouth. The reason why female celebrities can bounce back from sex tapes is because they can rely on their celebrity status to see them through it. However when the starting point of your celebrity status IS a sex tape….Well..

The reason I explained all that was to better clarify my personal opinion of Kim Kardashian. Obviously I don’t know her personally(yet) so I can’t tell you if she’s really a heaux or not. I don’t think she is. I think she managed to get famous off of something that people (some of those people being hoes) tend to do and caught a bigger backlash because of it. She found a guy who was willing to look past that(for now at least) and now she’s married. Congratulations to her.

Now the second question. Is there hope for you hoes? Especially the ones with their business all over the internet??

I mean there have been enough people who’ve had sex tape leaks or ‘anonymous’ people putting their business out there on the Internets for you to think twice before the person you’re with tells you “let’s make a movie.” But I mean if it’s already happened to you look on the bright side. Even porn stars get married 🙂

I’m just kidding. The deeper message behind all this is that you can find someone who is willing to look past your past as long as you can accept that the lengthier your past is, the longer you may have to wait to find that special someone.
