In an effort to keep myself accountable, I decided to make today’s “Behind the Scenes” feature on something that I’ve actually done recently.
About two months ago, I was given the opportunity to be cast in the role of “Justin” for a Comedy Web series Pilot titled “Blasians.”
I won’t go into too much detail about the web series’ synopsis (that’s what the Kickstarter video is for) but this is actually the first web series I’ve ever been cast in. Granted, it’ll only end up being a pilot if we’re unable to raise then necessary funds, but it’s something that I would enjoy seeing come to life, which is why I went so far as to shoot my own promotional trailer for it.
What I enjoyed most about being on set that day was being able to work directly with the creators of the series.
Most sets that I’ve worked on, it’s the typical cast and crew, which is fine. I just liked that I was able to have a conversation with the writer of the series and talk more about what she saw not only for my specific character but the show as a whole.
I had a great time working with everyone involved and hopefully this is a project that makes it out of the pilot stage and into a full fledged series.
