This has been a post that I’ve been sitting on for months… Literally.
You wouldn’t think so, but even getting a chance to appear as yourself on national television, requires an audition process.
I had a few conversations, as well as a video interview, with the show runners in order to book my appearance as a bachelor on the SteveTV show.
One of the things I’ve quickly learned about LA is that it’s not worth celebrating something you’ve “booked” until the day you’re about to be on set.
Even still, it was still a bit surreal pulling up to the Universal parking lot and being on the “list” of expected guests. We even got a holding trailer set aside for us, with all the things you’d expect a trailer for a daytime talk show to have.
Granted, we’d already shot an earlier segment in a cafe on a separate day, but I’ve completed whole commercials that never saw the light of day so this just FELT different.
The entire staff was very friendly and great to work with, and I even got a chance to briefly talk with Steve, who was very humble and a great host. To be honest, I was really nervous and I was just hoping to give an answer that would at least resonate with the audience lol. I wasn’t too concerned with being chosen as the top bachelor.

I’m glad I got a chance to make it onto National T.V. as myself. I had to wait for MONTHS before I was allowed to talk about it but I feel like I’m on the right track in terms of getting more exposure and more opportunities to advance my career.
