Despite everything that happened in 2020, there was a variety of unique acting opportunities that I was blessed to be a part of.
I’d already started off the year with my first ever speaking role on television, which was already an acting highlight for me, so to be in a position where I would end up on television again in the same year was just something I could have never expected.
I got a chance to play in a dramatization for BET’s “Trap Queens” series. I portrayed Justin “JT” Turner in the “Brandi Davis” episode of “American Gangster: Trap Queens.” It wasn’t a speaking role, BUT it was the role that finally made me SAG-eligible! For those who read this and don’t know what that means, this role is what gave me enough Union credits to join the Screen Actor’s Guild and audition for bigger roles.
Overall, 2020 set me up in a lot of ways to HOPEFULLY have an even more prosperous 2021. Let’s see how the year plays out.
