Despite my acting opportunities coming to a screeching halt with the temporary shutdown of the Entertainment Industry in early 2020, I was extremely fortunate to have a very busy second half of the year.
One of those opportunities being a Quility Weighted Blanket commercial that was created with multiple social media platforms in mind.
A production company, with whom I’d previously worked with, reached out to me with this opportunity. What was really cool about this shoot was that 1.) it was the first product testimonial I’d ever done and 2.) I got to improvise almost all of the lines while we were filming, which almost never happens on shoots like these.
What I always find to be funny about product testimonials is that they’re rarely done by an actor who’s actually used the product. Most times, we’re the visual representative of what real customers are saying about the project. I’d actually never used a weighted blanket before the shoot date. However, I can say that everything that was said in the video was accurate… it really does feel like a big hug 😆
Ultimately, I had a lot of fun during the shoot and I’d like to think that I was able to convince at least a few people to invest in that weighted blanket that they’d be considering purchasing.
